Came on a Friday afternoon, was in and out within 15-20 minutes tops. Let the front desk know what I needed, got me through quick to my next line. It is a bit of an inconvenience to fill out the form standing and got called to the window before I was finished, so I ended up finishing it there. Sherry was nice, we had a great conversation as we processed my paperwork. I don't know about everyone on here complaining, you obviously have never been to a California DMV. Great experience.
This is one of the more decent MVD's I've been too. Compared to Washington state (Seattle) MVD's, they're always fast and efficient. I went in yesterday, they told me I didn't have the correct forms. That made me mad but oh well, can't let it ruin your day. Front desk guy (older, balding, with glasses) was quite rude. Didn't say good morning when he opened the door, or even so much as greet everyone standing there waiting. No biggie, I know everyone and the MVD seems to hate their job.
Going to the dmv is already ahitry and they went and made it hell. They rwmoved all the chairs so you have to fill your application out in line. I call ahead and ask questions to be turned away because i dont have the right things. The people dont know thwir job, very ignorant people who work here. This is my second time in for the same thing standing in line for atleast an hour, and they close their station on the longest lines both times. Very annoying and super disoganized. If i never had to come back my life would be much better.
Came back the next day, women working the front desk was (wait for it) PLEASANT.. What??? Even crazier, the guy that was handling my to-do for the day was (wait for it) EVEN MORE PLEASANT. Seriously, not sure how it happened but he actually had a nice conversation with me and asked me how my day was going so far. His name was Richard and I hope I get the pleasure of working with him every time I have to come to the MVD.
Front desk is always short with you. Wait times aren't too bad. Really wish that they were open later. It is not easy to have a job and get there by 430 (they won't do anything after that despite the fact they are open until 5).
They removed all the chairs so you can't sit down and fill your application out. The front desk lady this time was very short and rude(long blonde hair lady). I just asked a simple question that should told me she couldn't answer even though the last time I was in the other man was able to answer it... just annoying
