He replaced the master cylinder (total cost to me: $222) and said that definitely stopped the leak. Two days later and all my fluid has leaked out again. After looking at the slave cylinder, it appears that is where the leak is coming from. I'll be purchasing a new slave and attempting to replace it myself.
I found this place by reading reviews and word of mouth. I called and spoke with Bob and took my car to him. My 4 wheel drive wasn't working and it turned out that it was just a vacuum line. Bob and Jonathan spent a long long time going through all the wires and hoses till they found the problem and best of all, and shocking and I was grateful for, he didn't charge me for it!!! I also needed my ball joints replaced and went ahead and had him do the shocks also. I'm very pleased to have found him and Jonathan. People may think they're pricey, but have they ever really put much thought on just how hard and what they would need to even try to do any of these things on their own vehicles?? You get what you pay for!!Once I find someone I trust I stick with them because there are a lot of dishonest or shady people out there. Thank you so much Doughboy Auto Repair!!!!!

As the owner of a taxi cab company, I need to be able to rely on a great mechanic who can get the job done right the first time, and in a timely manner. Doughboy Auto is the only place I will take my vehicles. From classic cars to the most modern, simple maintenance to complete overhaul, they do it all.
My hydraulic clutch system was leaking, so I took it to Bill and asked if he could diagnose and repair it. He was not a friendly person to talk to, but I thought hey, if he can fix my car, I don't really care. Turns out he didn't do that either.
I believe these guys knew how to fix it, it's just they didn't care enough to try and diagnose the problem correctly. Moral of the story: attempt to learn something new and fix it yourself, because only you will care enough to do it correctly.
Oh, and online retail prices for new master cylinders for my model of car go from $20-$40. Seriously Bill? $222? I hope scamming someone out of money makes you happy.
