I did not purchase the item I went in for and it was a 600.00 purchase.

I was hoping to give some business to a struggling Gateway Mall anchor store. I was trying to purchase approximately $200.00 worth of power tools. There was only one gentleman working the cash register and no one else was available to answer my questions. I would have made these purchases but the lack of help and interest forced me to shop elsewhere (Lowes) to buy the tools I needed. I promptly spent $230.00 and went merrily on my way. I could not help but wonder how long the local Sears will stay open with such an apathetic attitude towards prospective customers. A real shame....
Terrible experience! First, you have to chase someone down in order to get any kind of help. Second, returning something is more and more difficult now. You only have 30 days now to return or exchange something, plus when you do, they don't know what they're doing if you had used points and cash together for the purchase. A simple transaction that should have taken just a few minutes ended up wasting my time for nearly 15 minutes!
Sears no longer informs you if there are or are not couple available for the item in which you wish to purchase.
I feel that is very poor customer service relations.
