We've visited several times over the past 3years. Smaller place, very laid back. Not crowded so it's easy to stroll around at your own pace and relax. Good play area for the kids to finish working off any left over energy :)
Small non profit zoo. Low key, but nice to visit. Friendly staff. The animals are mostly rescued from the wild. No food inside the zoo, so pack your meals, if you would like to eat there. Kids have fun there in the play area. Takes about 2 hours at most.
A clean and interesting place to visit in the Prescott community. There are several built in cooking areas which are perfect for a summer get together with the family. The lake is nice, however it is unsuitable for swimming. Great dock to fish from as well as get a great view of both the sunrise and sunset. Plenty of hiking trails suitable for the entire family! Don't forget to pack water and bring some money for parking.
Small in footprint but a large and diverse animal population. Good mix of exotics as well as petting zoo style animals for the kids. All are rescued which makes it that much better. Worth a visit if you are in the Prescott area.
Was an ok place to walk, pay to park. A couple of geese got a little too close and personal when we stopped for a snack in the shade. I saw other people feeding the geese later.
