We have been loyal Hassayampa Canine Resort customers since the facility opened. The owners and staff are always pleasant, professional, informative and caring. The Spa, located in a beautiful, quiet setting, is well laid out, spotless and designed for the dogs' comfort and safety. Our mini-Aussie, Amy, is always treated with love and affection and looks forward to her visits to Hassayampa. We highly recommend the Hassayampa Canine Resort to any dog owner who wishes to have their pet pampered, loved and cared for during their stay.
When I went for the tour there were two staff there. The web site says stop by any time, but she was clearly too busy and rushed but she gave me a quick tour, and although they state they take dogs out 8 times a day, it is only for a couple minutes when there are staffing issues. The Kennel rooms were much smaller than I expected, but I was hopeful due to the dogs getting out often....But when I tried to make reservations they require that I pay $60 to evaluate my dogs having them stay for a few hours before accepting the reservation. Before I even set that up they said they would not take my female because I talked about that she will be going into a false pregnancy soon. They didn't even meet her to evaluate, just said it would be too much of a disruption. She had not even gone into the false pregnancy yet. There were no symptoms at all, I simply talked about it to the receptionist. If they are this skiddish about something so basic and simple it is not a good sign. The people running this don't know what they are doing. Stay away.
This is the best place to take my Great Dane, Sweet Pea. She has excellent, right-sized accommodations, always fresh in bedding and water. The facility is the cleanest, brightest I've ever seen. They exercise her and, more importantly, play with her every 1-1/12 hours. They use the training techniques I'm using for consistency in her behavior. She loves it there. But in addition to all this, they really care about Sweet Pea and genuinely love animals. They recommend solutions to problems, help me with issues I may be having in feeding, training, etc. They always treat me and my dog with respect and caring. I couldn't ask for a better place for Sweet Pea to go for socialization, play, and boarding.
This the absolute best boarding facility I have ever been to. The owners, Marcia and Jim, plus their exemplary staff, really and truly care about the dogs and their facility. The environment is very soothing, absolutely spotless, and the dogs are taken out every 90 minutes to make sure that they are comfortable. I am thrilled to have found Hassayampa Canine Resort since they made my dog so happy!
We love the resort and all the changes and additions that have occurred in the last 5 months. It is a must see for sure! Would recommend going in for a tour and trying out the new day play!
