What an unexpected experience! Taking out 1800 sq ft of existing tile and carpeting, transitioning from new floors to existing tile in bathrooms and laundry areas, moving furniture, including a piano, being extremely picky and being married to an engineer. THAT shoild have been a recipe for disaster! Instead, this was the BEST experience we’ve had in doing over five major remodeling projects in the past.
Most important - I had tried to work with a few of the Carpet / Wood companies in Prescot Valley. You just could not get them to come out and give ideas on what to use and how proceed forward. How to deal with different types of wood and colors. IN the end after a couple meetings at the house we chose a fantastic flooring that really compliments the house. That is what we were looking for.
The second person on the job was also a skilled craftsman – So you do not get one person and an unskilled helper – always looking over their shoulder. Two professionals made the job go quicker.
End result? Spectacular! We’ve even decided to put hardwood floors into the master and guest bedrooms...700 more feet of hardwood and 4 more days of work in less than 2 weeks after completing our original project. That's a testimony in itself!
In October 2017 we had Sylvan of Desert Hardwood Flooring install over 800 square feet of Hickory hardwood in our living room and dining room. Both my wife and I couldn't be more pleased with how the project turned out Working with Sylvan was easy, pleasant and professional. He and his assistant arrived each day on time, took special care to keep the area as clean as possible, and proved to be great craftsman. They moved my furniture, kept to a promised schedule and even helped me place area rugs down when finished.
