I am a Thyroid and Breast Cancer survivor. I have run the gamut of Doctors and Specialists. I also deal with diabetes and congestive heart failure, so I know the importance of excellence in my health care team. Dr. Box is the newest member of my team and I couldn't be more pleased. She is thorough, professional, detail oriented. I don't need her to be warm and fuzzy and my BFF!! I need her to help me heal my body. To all the negative reviewers, trust me, when you are facing life or death choices, you want someone like Dr. Box on your team! She takes saving my life as seriously as I do!
I loved Dr. Box. She is great. If you have an endocrine issue, I highly recommend her. She is personable, knowledgeable, and explains things in words you can understand. Her office staff is also wonderful, welcoming, and happy. I was very intimidated and afraid to go initially because of the negative reviews, but I needed to change doctors after moving from Phoenix, so I went anyway. I am so happy that I did. She made me feel comfortable immediately and my subsequent appointments have been just as great as the first one. I highly recommend her!
I have been very pleased with the care I receive from Dr. Box and also her NP, Pam Akers. They always answer my questions, make suggestions and explain things in a way I can understand.

I was being treated with insulin for diabetes and had been under a GP direction for about a year and my sugars were way too high. I went to see doctor Box and within about two weeks my numbers were way better. I have had my up and downs but this office has tried to help me every step of the way. The office staff is very helpful. I have to travel from Flagstaff to go to this office and if I get there early they always try to get me in early. I really like this whole office, I only wish it wasn't such a long drive for me, but that's not their fault.
She is an excellent Endocrinologist. I have seen many in the past 39 years, but she is the best. She will tell you like it is, with no sugar coating, but I have come to be aware of that. She listens and is on top of my medical care.
