If I could give them less than one star I would, completely unhelpful and rude person I spoke with trying to schedule my travel inoculations refused to even consider billing my insurance for said immunizations and instead suggested I make an appointment now so I wouldn't "waste anymore time" and pay more than two hundred dollars worth in immunization:. Even though I clarified with member services three times that my plan indeed covered travel inoculations. That the inoculations I was requesting would indeed be covered at 100% and that I would just need to pay for the consult. I told this person that if they called to verify benefits with my plan (which is what they do at medical offices, I don't know why they don't do it here) they could request a summary of my benefits. instead she refused and told me that it was my responsibility to know my benefits and to request authorization from my insurance company so that they can get paid? So I called my insurance again.They don't even provide authorizations for travel inoculations. I was dumbfounded by how unhelpful these people were. I recommend the health department in Flag. Way better service and actually allows people to utilize their insurance benefits.
However, all of my past grievances are nothing compared with the phone call she gave me this morning! Since I opted to seek medical attention elsewhere, she called me to try to scare and bully me about my decision! After answering her questions, and informing her that I already sought treatment elsewhere, she began to abuse me by saying that I will definitely get cancer if I am not treated. First of all, not one of the three doctors I've seen said I would 'definitely get cancer' if I'm not treated, and I had already informed her that I received treatment elsewhere. I'm glad to inform you all that I'm doing well. She, however, became shockingly insistent and irate with me, and I had to pass the phone to my husband to handle her. I never want to step foot in that place ever again, if I can help it!
Office staff in the health clinic, please take note, it is extremely unprofessional and inappropriate to share patients personal insurance information in front of a crowded waiting room. It’s fine to ask for a patients insurance card if you need to verify their coverage, but there is no reason to name their insurer loudly in front of everyone waiting and even ask whether someone has Medicaid services. After what I witnessed in the waiting room, I will not be comfortable coming back to this clinic. Please train your employees that insurance data is confidential and protected!

Watch out for the horrible, horrible, horrible service; unhelpful, uninformed, downright rude, front desk woman with penciled in eyebrows! I don't know where to begin to describe my grievances with this nightmare of a woman! Every-single-time I've been in the health clinic, I'm floored and downright astonished at the level of hostility she is perpetually escalated to, and how creative she is in taking it out on the unfortunate public - many who have no other financial option than to go to the county.
